Matt Schaar is the operating partner at Accion Venture Lab. In this role, Matt provides in-depth strategic and operational support to companies across Venture Lab’s global portfolio of early-stage inclusive fintech companies and delivers knowledge leadership to the broader fintech community.

Prior to joining Venture Lab, Matt worked in Silicon Valley at a variety of tech companies as a sales and product leader. He also has advised and invested in a variety of companies at various stages, first with the Boston Consulting Group, then as an independent consultant. He holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, a master's degree in business administration, and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Michigan, and he enjoys running and exploring cities by bike with his partner and toddler.
