Matt Schaar is the Operating Partner at Accion Venture Lab. In this role, Mattprovides in-depth strategic and operational support to companies across Venture Lab’s global portfolio of early-stage inclusive fintech companies and delivers knowledge leadership to the broader fintech community.

Prior to joining Venture Lab,Mattworked in Silicon Valley at a variety of tech companies as a sales and product leader. He also has advised and invested in a variety of companies of various stages, first with the Boston Consulting Group, then as an independent consultant. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and enjoys running and exploring cities by bike with his partner and toddler.
