Kathy Kemper - Emeritus

Kathy is founder and CEO of the Institute for Education (“IFE”), a non-profit foundation that promotes leadership and civility locally, nationally, and worldwide, and educates youth for global citizenship. A former professional tennis player, Kathy served as head Women’s Tennis Coach at Georgetown from 1978 to 1990. Kathy and her husband James Valentine have two daughters, Kelsey and Christina, both of whom participated in LearnServe summer trips to China and Paraguay. Kathy helped create the Center for International Education, and based on that and on her professional work over many years, nothing could have been more natural than for her to become a founding member of the LearnServe Board. Board Member since 2008.
